Lucky Ladd Pumpkin Farm

Saturday we ventured out into the cold and visited our last pumpkin patch for the season.

Landon and his buddy Brady going down the slide

No pumpkin patch would be complete without the barrel rides

Brady, who's like my 3rd son
The only family photo we were able to get all day
 My little pumpkin
 Take one
 Take 2
 Brotherly love
 Houston just enjoying the ride

We had a great family fun day that ended with a warm dinner at a local restaurant

Halloween Fun Run

Wednesday night my running group decided to have a Halloween Fun Run. We all dressed up in our Halloween costumes and decided to run our normal route through town. It was very fun and amusing seeing all the crazy costumes adults can come up with.

Suzanne and I went as Pebbles and BamBam
Sandy, Suzanne and I

Amazing ladies I have met through my running group
This is our running group. We all ran 3 or more miles around town in our costumes. It was a hilarious site to see all of us running, but so FUN
It was a great run with great people. I'm pretty sure this will become an annual event

Our crazy weekend

We have not slowed down in about three weeks. We have had something to do everyday and sometimes two things a day during the weekdays and weekends. This last weekend was just one of those crazy weekends.

Friday night we had a costume birthday party for Bailey. This is Landon and his "girlfriend" Ella
Landon, Ella and Abigail (Baileys sister) LOVED the Chick-fil-a cow
We go to Chick-fil-a so much that Baileys mom had the hookup to get the cow to make an appearance
Saturday Landon had a baseball game at 8 a.m. Then we headed for packet pickup in Nashville for the Color Run on Sunday

Saturday afternoon I put away all of Houston's baby bottles
I'm happy he does not take a bottle anymore or formula, but it's hard to let go of that baby stage
It was a beautiful weekend so we did a lot of playing and swinging
and we attended another birthday party Saturday night
Sunday Jason and I ran The Color Run. SO fun and a must again for next year. My next race is on Thanksgiving Day and its only a 4 miler
And the big "dent" in our weekend, literally, is this beauty. After taking Ella home Friday night I backed into someones cast iron mailbox. I totaled the mailbox, but my car got the worst of it
I walked up to the house at 8 p.m. and told them "sorry but I just totaled out your mailbox". They were super nice about it and very understanding. So Saturday I went to Lowe's and bought them a new mailbox. I have to call our insurance company to get this fixed and its going to take a few days so I have to get a rental car. UGH!

This upcoming weekend is just as busy, but I think after that we are slowing down for a few weeks.

Happy Tuesday!

Nashville Color Run 2012

This morning Jason and I drove to downtown Nashville to run the 5K Color Run. My mother in law spent the night with us last night so Jason and I could get up bright and early this morning to enjoy our day date.

Before we left the house, in our nice clean white shirts

There were 15,000 runners and walkers

Great view of the "Batman" building

During the 3 miles, you run through stations like this one where volunteers throw colored chalk like stuff on you. They had pink, orange, blue, yellow and red.
We ran past the Titan's football stadium

The goal is to finish the race all covered in the colored chalk

My friends Ashley and Angela were covered.

It really was the best 5K I have ever ran. It was like a food fight with 15,000 adults. They gave out color packets to throw at each other at the end of the race.
Another thing that was so great about this run was that is was not timed or chipped. So Jason and I jogged a little, but we mostly walked to just enjoy the scenery, the crowd and each other.

We still defiantly be attending the Color Run next year.

Walden Pumpkin Farm

Last week the boys and I visited our local pumpkin farm right after school with a few friends.

This was Houston's first time at a pumpkin farm since this time last year he was still in the NICU

I think he really liked the goats
And so does Landon

Landon was all over the place with his buddies, so I took the opportunity to get some photos of my always happy boy
I don't think they get any cuter than this

He loves tractors just like his brother

 LOVE this one
Landon climbing a large stack of hay

This was the only picture I was able to get of them together. Landon was thrilled to stop playing just to take his picture
As always he's a BIG fan of the corn

A look back. Here we are as a family of 3 in 2009
