Yard sale finds

Landon and I were headed to the pool today and I passed a yard sale in my neighborhood. To my surprise this caught my eye

A play kitchen! I stopped and hopped out of the car to take a closer look. It was in great shape, barley used and it was not all pink and purple. Trying to find a used kitchen that's not made in all pink and purple is not easy. She had it priced at $25I asked if she would take $15 for it and she agreed. After the pool Landon and I went back to haul it home.
Jason and I do not agree on the kitchen issue. I have been wanting to get one for a year now and Jason has been fighting me on it. He thinks it's to "girlie" for a boy to have a kitchen. We have toy kitchen's at church and mother's day out and ALL the boys LOVE them. Is this a guy thing? Does your husband disagree on getting so called "girlie" toys for boys? I mean I found one that had yellow and blue on it and not all pink and purple. I knew he would say something about it when he got home from work, but i didn't care. It's for Landon and he likes it and that's all that matters. I bet a play tool bench is in the near future. BTW: Landon has a vacuum and LOVES it! ha ;o)

I think he likes it

I also found this PT Cruiser car at the yard sale for $1.00 and a brand new slip 'n' slide for $1.00. I love a good deal ;o)

We had to make room for the new kitchen so we cleaned a little. A clean toy room for now.

While I was cleaning up the toy room I found a new work of original art by Mr.Landon himself

Look's like someone found the sharpie

Have a good weekend!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's day to my dad and wonderful husband. If it wasn't for these two men I would not be the person I am today or be where I am today without them. Landon and I love you both.
We had a great father's day. We attended church this morning and heard a great service. After church I took Jason to Kohl's for him to pick something out for himself. He didn't find anything he liked, but I DID. I had a really good coupon and I could not let it go to waste. I bought a super cute bracelet. ha ha! It was originally $20, but with it being on sale and my coupon I only paid $4.00. I told Jason when we had more time we would go shopping for him. I mean how do you not find anything you want at Kohl's? After Kohl's we headed to Jason's parents house where his mom cooked us a wonderful homemade meal. I was so busy chasing an almost 2 year old I only was able to get these few pictures.

Sunny Saturday

Today was HOT!! My car said 96 degrees this afternoon. This morning we headed to the Y for spin class, came home to clean, took a 2 hour nap ;o) and headed to Jacob's 1st birthday party. The theme was trains and he even had an actual train there to give all the kid's train rides. We all had a great time!

Train at Jacob's 1st birthday party

Landon would say "choo choo"

Getting ready for the train ride with daddy

After the train ride Landon went swimming

These boots are made for walking

It's no secret that Landon LOVES to play with shoes. It doesn't matter what kind of shoe it is. It could be a flip flop, tennis shoe, sandal, dress shoe, house shoe and the list goes on. Today was no exception when he went into my closet and pulled out the winter boots. I have them put away since they are winter so he had to find them buried deep in the closet.

Putting them on
(those are my work-out head bands in the floor. He likes to wear those as well. Notice there is one around his neck)

Zipping them up

There on!

Trying to stand up

Panama City Beach Vacation

We are back from the beach! It was SO nice to spend a week with family and relaxing on the beach. Well as relaxed as you can get with an almost 2 year old running around. Jason, Landon and I traveled with Jason's parent's and my mom for the week. The weather was HOT, no rain and NO oil.

On the way down to FL

Rode the pelican at Peach Park

1st time in the ocean

Day 1 of beach

Daddy and Landon playing in the sand

Nothing like a good nap on the beach

Day 2 on the beach

Pier Park had a merry go round

and an outdoor bounce house. Landon was a very HAPPY camper. We actually went 3 nights in a row

Riding the choo choo train. Landon was not happy because he wanted to sit in the driver's seat

The family

We took a break from the beach one day so we took Landon to the local children's museum. He LOVED it!!

Nature trail

Science center

They had a real boat that you could "drive" and it actually turned on and made engine noises. This also made him VERY HAPPY!

Next we visited their local library. Can't you tell he was thrilled about it?

Our last night Jason and I had a date night and we ate at Pineapple Willy's. O my word it was SO good!! Ribs and drinks ;o)

I took a picture of the beach, because in a few days it may be covered in oil

We had a wonderful time and are blessed to be able to take vacation's. Taking a toddler on vacation was a new experience for us, but we would not trade it for the world. We also appreciate our parent's who helped us out A LOT with Landon. The extra help was much appreciated.

Landon and I start our VBS week tomorrow morning. My partner and I could have up to 16 five year old's this week. Pray for us! ;o)
