Risky Business

I went grocery shopping this afternoon and when I returned home I felt like I went back to the 80's. Jason just changed Landon's diaper and didn't put his pants back on. He remind me of Tom Cruise in Risky Business with the collared shirt and socks. Could he be any cuter?

Thanksgiving recap

We had a very nice Thanksgiving. Wednesday night we ate with my parents and Thursday night we ate with Jason's family. Landon stayed at GG's (my mom) house Thanksgiving day so Jason and I could get the Christmas tree down and put together and all the other Christmas decorations. Besides a quick trip to Hobby Lobby and Old Time Pottery to pick up a few more decorations I am done with decorating our home. The Christmas shopping is a different story. I have two weeks off work for Christmas break next month so I get most of my shopping done during that time.
This has been a great year for my family and I. We are very blessed in so many ways. I am thankful that we have family, friends, our health, a nice home, jobs, cars, food, clothing, love and most importantly our church and Jesus Christ. He provides for us and without him we would have none of the above. So for that I am grateful.
I totally forgot my camera yesterday so no pictures on this post. Jason finished mulching up the leaves today so I will take pictures of our outside and inside decor this weekend. Until then have a fabulous weekend.

Art class

Look what Landon did in art class at his mother's day out program. He made a Thanksgiving turkey out of his hand print.

Happy Birthday Zoey!!

Today our sweet Zoey turns 4 years old. She was born November 20, 2005 in a Georgia puppy mill. She spent the 1st year of her life there. We are not sure of the conditions of the mill, but we do know that her ears were cropped and she had 1 litter of puppies. In January 2007 she was rescued by a schnauzer rescue organization, Schnauzer Love Rescue. You can check their site out here. http://schnauzerloverescue.org/. From there she was taken to a GA vet's office to get the medical treatment she needed and was fostered by her saving grace Jan, who loved on our little Zoey for 2 months. On March 17, 2007 we adopted Zoey and she found her "fur" ever home. Here is a link to Zoey's story and how we found each other. http://schnauzerloverescue.org/happy_tails2007_9.htm

( i have not been able to get the link go straight to the site, so you will have to copy and paste into your brower to see the story)

Here are a few pictures of our little girl.

Fun Fall Friday

I really enjoy being off work every Friday. Landon and I are able to spend the whole day together just us two hanging out. This morning we ate breakfast and played inside for a few hours. After his morning nap we made a trip to Target to purchase a few Christmas gift's that were on sale this week. It was such a beautiful day today that when we returned home we played outside in the front yard. Landon loves to push his car, walk around the yard, run after Zoey and play with the leaves. Here are a few pictures from our fun fall Friday.

I love him SO MUCH!!

For some reason he really wanted to play with my outside broom

Zoey's new do

About every 3 months we have Zoey groomed. We have a mobile grooming service come to our home who gives Zoey an ultimate spa hour. I use to take her to a groomer's who had you drop the dog off at 8am and would not be able to pick-up till 2pm or after. I hated to leave Zoey there that long and now that I have a child I have to load and unload into a car seat and try to hold him and handle Zoey at the same time, our mobile groomer has been a saint. She just pulls her van into the driveway, plugs up to our house and groom's Zoey in about an hour. I just love a newly groomed dog, don't you?

Harness Buddy

OK so Landon is ALL over the place. Now that he is walking everywhere he does not want me to carry him or even sit in a shopping cart. So yesterday I bought a Harness Buddy. HAHA!! It's a monkey backpack/harness with an attached tail so I can keep a hold of him. My mom said that she had one of these for me, so they have been around awhile. I put it on Landon last night and he was not a happy camper. He absolutely hated it and wanted to get out of it ASAP. I always told myself when I have kids I will NEVER put my child in one of those, but now that I have a little guy that is into EVERYTHING and wants to go EVERYWHERE I changed my mind quickly. Do you have one of these? Does your kids like it? I wish he knew I am doing it for his safety.

Bath time fun

Landon LOVES his bath's. He especially loves sitting under the faucet as the bath is filling up. This is his favorite part of his whole bath. After we wash him and let him play awhile in the tub I will let him just sit and play under the faucet. Of course he likes to splash the water, drink the water and stick his head under the water. He is such a HAM!!

Halloween night we headed to Joelton, Tn (Jason's home church) for their annual Trunk or Treat. The rain stopped and it turned out to be a very nice night. There was good food and lot's of fun. We had a great time spending halloween night with our family. Landon did awesome and kept his dragon costume on the entire night. Here are a few pictures from our fun family night.
