Strawberry Picking

It's officially summer and I officially have a kindergartner. Landon graduated Pre-K Thursday night and I'm slowly going through pictures. As a kickoff to summer I took Landon to a local strawberry field and we picked strawberries for the first time.

Just getting started

Tumbling Medal Day

Tuesday Landon had is tumbling class medal day. This was our 3rd and final time to see Landon tumble as a preschooler. All the parents are able to watch the kids tumble and show off what they have learned this year and at the end they receive a medal.

Mother's Day 2013

I had a wonderful Mother's Day, but as mother's we really don't get a day off do we? I still had to do laundry, do little errands, get ready for school tomorrow, etc... Jason did a great job though trying to make my mother's day a little extra special.

We started off the morning by attending church. I feel blessed that these little guys made me a mother
After church my mom came over for lunch a exchange a few little gifts

My beautiful mom and I. She really is the BEST mother and grandmother to our family
I just had to post this picture. We both had the giggles for some reason and could not stop laughing.

Jason and the boys bought me a running medal and bib number holder. It's being made and custome made for me, so I hope to get it next week. I cant wait to see it and hang my medals on it.

After lunch I did a few errands around town and of course a little run with some other fabulous moms

Happy Mother's Day

Muffins with Mom

This morning our school hosted a Muffins with Mom. Each class had their own special gift made just for their mom and of course muffins and juice. Since I work at the boys school I had the privilege to attend both their classes. Houston's was yesterday morning and Landon's was this morning.

Landon showing off his gift he made me. It's a tile with his picture on it. This is our last Muffins with Mom together in preschool. I register him for Kindergarten Monday.
Loving on my boy

Houston's class made hand-print plates. I LOVE both these gifts and will cherish them for as long as I live.

We are officially 2 weeks out till the last day of school. And in 2 weeks from today Landon graduates Pre-K.

Relay Rutherford 2013

Yesterday I had the privilege to run in my first relay race with 4 other AMAZING runners and friends.
The race started in Eagleville, Tn and ended 53 miles away in Smyrna, Tn. It was one of the best times I have ever had.

Our team name was 8 Boobs and a Dude, haha.
There are 5 runners on a team that have to complete 18 legs that equal 53 miles
There were about 6 teams from my running club that participated.

It rained the whole day and when I mean rained like 100% ALL day. I think I changed clothes, socks and shoes about 4 times.

This was another team from our club, TuTu much
Crystal running her 1st leg in down pour rain
Waiting on our runners
I ran 3 legs with a total of 10 miles. This was after my last 4 mile leg, that was mostly uphill and all in rain
We started at 7:15 am in Eagleville and ended at 3:19 pm in Smyrna. About 10 to 15 minutes ahead of our projected finish time. Seriously these people are AMAZING
My first medal made of wood. I think its time to invest in a medal holder.

Rain and all it was an amazing experience and I cant wait to do it all over again next year.
