Happy Easter 2011

Easter morning. His favorite gift besides the candy is his new "um-bra-la"

Our town has an old farmhouse from the 1800's that you can tour. Every year they host an egg hunt for all ages on the farm. They also have all sorts of games and face paint for the kids.

My Heart's in Haiti

Our really good friends, Elizabeth and Peyton are adopting a handsome 4 year old boy from Haiti. Their story is quite remarkable and is all at the hands of God. Back in February they both went on a mission trip with our church to Haiti. There they meet a little boy at the time name Junior and both feel in love with him and knew at that moment he was going to be their son. They came home the next week and started the adoption process. Peyton and Elizabeth are very successful and happily married for 6 years with no children of their own. They love kids and have lots of nieces and nephews, but having kids of their own was something not in their plan, but God had other plans for them. So when they came home and told us about Junior we were shocked, but could not be more proud and happy for them. So we have started helping them with the adoption process and bring him home. Last weekend they were able to rent a booth at the Southern Women's Show to help raise money to bring Mathieu (they changed his name) home by selling t-shirts, bracelet's and taking donations. I was truly honored to volunteer with them and tell people their story.

This is Mathieu. Isn't he a cutie?

I am so EXCITED about this sweet couple bring Mathieu home. They have a website where you are able to check in on their adoption process and order these super cute shirts. One hundred percent of all the proceeds go to their adoption.

New due date

Jason and I had our 2ND prenatal visit for baby #2 this morning. Everything looked wonderful and baby had a great heartbeat. We are about a week behind from when we first thought. Our official new due date is Dec. 5th, so that puts us at 7 weeks and 1 day. Your continued thoughts and prayers are appreciated during our journey to become parents again. ;o)

Just a boy and a little dirt

Over the weekend we had mulch delivered to our house. While Jason was shoveling it in our flower beds Landon decided he wanted to have some fun while dad worked.

Sunny saturday

We had a great saturday today. The weather was the best we have had in a few weeks, sunny and in the 60's. Jason got up with Landon this morning so I could sleep in. They both came up and woke me up about 9:15am this morning. I tell you I felt like a new person. He is also volunteering to get up with Landon tomorrow as well. He knows my love language.

About 10am Jason hung up our new kitchen light

While I was making lunches the boys went out to clean the pond

Landon came in with this mess

After a quick rinse off and lunches the boys went down for naps, I went shopping. I needed a few new things for spring and summer. I mostly wear dresses in the summer and I did buy a few I liked, but I branched out and bought a pair of Capri's and 2 shirts.

After 3 hours of shopping I was ready to come home and eat. haha ;o) We had an early dinner out and as soon as we pulled in the drive way coming home the ever so popular ice cream van came driving by. So we had ice cream.

Landon picked out the mega missile ice pop and he ate the whole thing

It's 8pm now and we are sitting down to watch Alpha and Omega, Landon's choice. Not sure what its about what that is what he wanted.

Hope everyone had a great saturday!!
