Jumper's Playhouse

I try to find fun and educational outings for Landon and I to do on Friday afternoons rather than just stay at home. Today we went to Jumper's Playhouse with a friend from work and her son Cole Parker. Cole is also one of my students this year. We all had a great time.

This one is for toddler's only

They have several jumper's for all ages.

Much to my surprise I did not get a picture of Landon looking at the camera. Shocking I know!!

Feeling better

Landon has been sick for several days. He came down with a fever on Tuesday and continued till Friday afternoon. He just had a fever and no other symptoms. Teeth maybe? You never know with kids especially the one's that are not able to tell you what's wrong. He has been very clingy and whiny and just wants his mommy. I'm OK with that. One day he will not want me when he's sick so I'm going to cherish these moments. Saturday he started feeling much better and sleeping through the night again. The weather this weekend has been wonderful. Sunny and in the high 50's, so we ventured out on several walks.

We hosted small group at our house today and watched our lesson on our new flatscreen. We love it!!

We hope you had a great weekend!!

A weekend of LOVE!!

Valentine's Day goodies

He received a Valentine book, a new truck, sippy cups, yogurt melts and crayons.

The basket was his favorite, even over the yogurt melts

We spent our Valentine's day evening at our niece's wedding. It was one of the most beautiful wedding's I have been to. It was so romantic and really set the mood for Valentine's day. I was having so much fun at her wedding I totally forgot to take pictures.

School's are closed today so Landon and I are at home due to the snow. He woke up this morning with a fever so we are staying in today and ordering dinner. When he is sick all he wants is to be held and loved on so I don't mind not being able to get anything done around the house, especially when my "baby" needs me.

Romance and Roses

Last night Jason and I celebrated my birthday and Valentine's day at Romance and Roses. Romance and Roses is an event our church host every year around valentine's day to celebrate marriage. This was our 4Th R&R and it was truly amazing this year. They had Music City Swing band play swing music all night and a husband/wife comedian team was the entertainment. VERY FUNNY!!

Marker Madness

My friend had a trunk show of her new spring children's clothes last night, so Landon I decided to go. Jason worked late so I ended up taking Landon with me. While my friend and I were talking, this little girl came up to us and said "there is a little boy in there drawing on his face", since Landon was the only "little boy" there I knew it was him. I rushed into one of the kids room's and this is what he did.

I didn't have a camera with me so we came home and took pictures of his masterpiece. The blue is from my friend's house that he got into and the red is from making valentine's day cards for grandparents.

He even managed to get some in his ear. BOYS!!

Today is my birthday and we are going to this:

Romance and Roses is an event for engaged or married couples our church hosts to celebrate love and marriage. This will be our 4th Romance and Roses. It is always around valentines day so this year it happens to fall on my 28th birthday. Jason and I are doing birthday and valentines day tonight. We are going with our small group and we are looking forward to a date night and spending time with each other.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Valentines Day!!

Birthday, Valentines and new TV

Friday is my 28Th birthday. Tonight Jason, Landon and my parents took me out to for an early birthday dinner. Afterwards we came back to our house and ate this:

(Landon and I ate mostly icing as you can tell)
I LOVE strawberry cake with strawberry icing. My mom made the cake for me and it is SO GOOD!!

These are Landon valentine's for his friends at MDO and his teacher's. Gold fish and Teddy Grahams!!

Our new TV was delivered yesterday. We bought a 47' Vizio LCD flat screen to hang over our living room mantle. We will be hanging it up on Saturday.

Every year our church host's an event called Romance and Roses for engaged or married couples. It is always around Valentine's day and this year it happens to fall on Feb. 12Th which is also my birthday. This will be our 4Th R&R. So we hired a babysitter for Landon and we are having a DATE NIGHT. YEAH!!

I will be back on Friday for a birthday post.

Bye Bye Highchair

For the last few weeks Landon has not been wanting to sit in his highchair to eat at all. He kept trying to climb up the bar stools like he was wanting to sit and eat at the island. One morning for breakfast I sat him at the table and he LOVED it and ate his entire breakfast. That same day for lunch I sat him at the table with us and again he ate like a big boy. Looks like were saying bye bye to his highchair.

First time sitting at the table to eat

Living room

We have completed the painting of our new living room and I received my curtains FedEx this afternoon.

Jason bought this:

to go over this:

We bought a 47" Vizio LCD flat screen to go over our mantle. It should be here and the mounting hardware this week. Hopefully we can get it up this weekend. We are possibly switching cable provider's so we might not be able to enjoy our new TV and room for a few weeks.

I had some paint left over so I decided to paint our downstairs bath with new white trim as well. Not sure on the decorating of this bath maybe instead of brown and green I will go with black, silver and green. The woman who lived here before us painted it mustard yellow with bird border (I KNOW YUCK!!) I have been living with this color and border for 3 years so it just HAD to go.

I just wanted to throw in a picture of my little man. This is all we did over the weekend since we were snowed/iced in for several days.
