Throwback Thursday

Today exactly 2 years ago I took my very last baby bump photo with Houston at 25 weeks. Little did we know that just 5 days later I would bring a 26 week 2lb 7oz baby into this world. He truly is a miracle child and God has some amazing plans for him. 

So here is my throwback Thursday picture of me at 25 weeks pregnant, the end of August 2011.

First day of Kindergarten

Today was Landon's first day of Kindergarten. O my how is this possible? My little boy is officially in school and not at Pre-school with me anymore. He was so excited this morning and was ready for the day.

The parents had to go this morning to walk the kids into their room, drop off school supplies and have a parent orientation.

Jason and I were able to spend about an hour in his room to go over class policy, fill out LOTS of paper work and do a few fun things with him before we left him at school.

Another big event today was that Landon rode a bus for the very first time. I will drop him off in the morning at school and he will ride the bus home

We are the second stop on our route and he is only on the bus for 7 minutes

Beach Vacation 2013

Well I meant to blog about our beach vacation um... about 2 weeks ago, but life happens. We are all excited about starting Kindergarten in 13 days and have been busy preparing for that and Houston and I going back to school as well. So we had a fabulous time on the beach this year. We went with Jason's sister, husband and her two adult kids and their kids. My mom even came down for the first few days. Before we meet them at the beach we stopped for a few days to visit my dad and step mom.

After spending 2 days with my dad and step mom, we drove about an hour down the beach and met up with Jason's sister, her family and my mom.

Both boys did an AMAZING job at the beach and they LOVED every minute of our time there.

I have been trying to get Landon to nap for 2 years now and the beach gets him in 5 days

I was able to keep up my running schedule on vacation and got several runs in the early morning

After every run I soaked my hot and tired feet in the pool

I found a Tervis store and splurged on this baby.

Happy 5th Birthday Landon

Well my family just returned from an amazing beach vacation. We left 9 days ago and returned Saturday night. We went with Jason's sister and her family and we just had the best time with them. The boys did wonderful on the beach and the weather was great. While we were there Landon turned 5 on July 14. Since 5 is a big one I wanted to make it special for him.

My dad lives in FL so we visited him first and Landon rode his first go cart on this birthday

The rest of the day we swam in the ocean and played on the beach

We returned from the beach Saturday and his birthday party was yesterday

Since we were gone for 9 days I really didn't have too much time to prepare so we just had a little front yard birthday party. The theme he choose was Ninja Turtles

We just threw the slip n slide and kiddie pool out in the front yard and just let them play and have fun

About 10 minutes into the party, the bottom fell out and started to pour rain

The kids didn't care and just kept on playing. No thunder or lighting just heavy rain ;o)

Being on the beach for Landon's birthday and then coming back to have a birthday party was so fun for him. He is the best little boy and I am one blessed mommy.

 Now that vacation and birthday are over with, we are gearing up for Kindergarten and looking at school supplies.
