Sunny saturday

We had a beautiful day today, sunny and in the 60's. Jason had to work 1/2 day today so I took Landon out to play pretty much all day. My friend's son came over for a few hours as well and he brought his tractor, which Landon LOVED.

More snow

Landon and I were out of school again today because we had more snow fall last night. I thought this has been the prettiest snow we have had this month

Friday

Landon and I do not have school on Fridays so its nice to sleep in and take our time in the mornings. Today we woke up to a dusting of snow














nothing to keep us inside so we drove to the YMCA so I could have my morning workout then it was off to get fitted for new tennis shoes. Landon has been saying "my shoes to tight". The last pair I bought was in august when school started so it was probably time.

















We we came home our alarm system guy was here to install this














It's a wireless remote for our alarm system in our home. I thought I was going to get a key pad for upstairs (we already have one downstairs), but this was the best option without running cable and drilling a hole in my wall.

After he left, L took a 3 hour nap (PTL) and he is focused on OSO at the moment














Jason should be home within an hour or so and its that time of day again to think about dinner.
Anyone have fun and exciting weekend plans?

Birthday party madness

We have had 2 birthday parties in the last 2 weekends. Last weekend was Abby's 2nd birthday party at the Creative Discovery Museum in Murfreesboro. I believe Abby is one of the cutest little girls I have ever seen

New bed

Well tonight we made the change from Landon's toddler bed to his new big boy bed.

I still need to get a headboard, a new lamp shade, hang his letters for his name and some art/personal touches and I will be done. haha ;o)



He was pretty excited about going to bed tonight so I'm curious to see how he does tonight.

Why didn't I think of that?

I really like to cook in my crock pot just because its just so darn easy. However I always dread cleaning it out after we ate until I found these babies at Wal-Mart


Crock pot liners. Why didn't I think of that?














Just line one of the plastic bags in your crock pot before you place your food in there.













When your done just pull the liner out
















Pour your food in a bowl and the liner in the trash. And there you go, how easy is that? And the best part, there is no clean up.














Has anyone else discovered these?

Snow Day

We all woke up this morning to about 5" of snow






















Of course our schools were closed today and Jason was able to stay home with L and I and work from home till about 2pm. Once Jason finished up work we all went out to play in all the snow.

Our schools are closed tomorrow as well and I don't think we will go on Wednesday. Hope everyone had a happy and safe snow day ;o)

More home improvements

Jason and I have been doing more home improvement projects. First we took down an old out dated light in our guest bath and put up a new one.

Then we changed all our old door knobs to newer more updated ones















I found a new dresser for Landon for his new big boy room, so I cleaned his drawers out and moved all his clothes to his new one


















I have had several people ask what I am doing for Landon's new room. Here is the bedding I choose. He is SO into cars, trucks, airplanes, trains, etc... I found this bedding online and it has all the things he loves right now. I really liked the bright colors and thought he could grow with this for a few years


















His room is still a work in progress. We hope to get his new bed together this weekend and we will almost be done.



Were suppose to have anywhere between 4"-6" of snow tonight so L and I may have a snow day tomorrow. ;o)
